Creating A Bucket List: Things to Be, Do & Have Before You Die

Photo: Bucket List in a yellow notepad.

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” Harriet Tubman

Let’s wake up the dreamer that resides within you, ok. But how? By unleashing the power of one of the most powerful faculties of our mind that is the IMAGINATION.

Albert Einstein said it better, “Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.”

Remember when you were a little child? Always dreaming all day, everyday for years. Our imagination was our most precious and unique toy. If we go back for a moment to our childhood, we will start remembering dreams of our future of becoming an actor/actress or maybe an astronaut or perhaps a rock star or a professional athlete or a professional dancer or maybe becoming the president of US or just exploring and traveling all around the world.

Something happened, right? We stopped dreaming for a little while.

We got caught up in the routine of things like finishing school, graduating from college or university and then finding a great and secure job to work for the rest of our lives to maybe someday retire and enjoy life. Do you follow me?

“If you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps life moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream.” Martin Luther King, Jr.

My pure intention today is to shake you a little bit and transport you back to when you were a kid and everything you imagined of experiencing and achieving was possible. To make you tune into that frequency of limitless possibilities.

So lets get started by defining what is a “Bucket List”?

A “Bucket List” is a list of all the goals you want to achieve, all the dreams you want to accomplish and all the achievements and desires that you would like to experience during the course of your lifetime.

Before we move on you can go ahead and take a look at my Bucket List!!!

If you already have a “Bucket List” I salute you and give you high five. If you don’t, I welcome and challenge you to create one.

How much does it cost to create a bucket list? Nada!!! Nothing! Just a little bit of imagination, creativity and appetite of experiencing and achieving more out of this magnificent life. Also, you will definitely need a pencil & a few sheets of paper. From now on you are going to be the architect like Michelangelo painting the greatest masterpiece of your ideal life.

Remember, “Getting started sloppily is better than never started perfectly.”

Start creating and achieving your life list now!!! Start living by design and not by default. I dare you to dream again like you were a kid!!! Today you are opening a new chapter of joy, excitement and passion about having an epic adventure while you achieve all the things you put in your Bucket List.

Right now while this information is still fresh on your mind, take a moment to quite your mind and unlock the dreamer that resides within you and let he/she write without any boundaries.

Start writing down what comes to your mind while you read these questions:

  • What do you really want?
  • What do you want to experience?
  • What do you want to achieve?
  • Who do you want to become?
  • Who do you want to meet before you die?
  • Where do you want to travel?
  • For how long do you want to travel?
  • What kind of charities would you like to support?
  • What kind of adventures do you want to do?

“We grow by dreaming. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter’s evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them into the sunshine and light, which always comes to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.” Woodrow Wilson
